At 5:45 p.m. on March 29, officers from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded to an apartment in the 3600 block of Spruce Avenue after a report of a male tied up and possibly stabbed.

Once there officers found the 43-year-old man who had been tied up for at least 20 hours. The co-worked had gone to the apartment when the unidentified man had not shown up for work or responded to phone calls.

There was a significant amount blood found inside the apartment. The victim was transported to Barton Hospital and is in stable condition.

The victim’s car is missing, presumably stolen. Due to the sensitive nature of this investigation, no further information will be released at this time. There is no evidence that there is any threat to the citizens of South Lake Tahoe and it is believed that the victim knows who committed this crime.
