One motorcyclist dies in Kingsbury Grade crash at Lake Tahoe

STATELINE, Nev. - Three motorcycles were involved in a crash on SR207 Thursday afternoon, leaving one person deceased and two sent to the hospital.
At approximately 2:19 p.m. on June 11, troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) were called to the scene on Kingsbury Grade near Palisades Drive. The investigation is still underway but what is known at this time is one motorcyclist was driving eastbound and two motorcyclists were headed westbound when they collided, according to NHP Trooper Hannah DeGoey.
The highway has been closed in both directions for over two hours due to the crash.
She said one person is confirmed deceased and the other two were sent to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
The NHP Multi-Disciplinary Investigation Reconstruction Team (MIRT) is on the scene.
As of 4:10 p.m., the coroner had just arrived as had tow trucks.
Kingsbury Grade should be opened shortly, DeGoey said.
There is no other information available at this time.
