SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The forecast storm did not arrive Saturday morning as promised, though it has been a rainy one over the passes for those traveling to and from South Lake Tahoe.
Caltrans reported a rockslide this morning, with flagger-controlled traffic through the area near Whitehall on US50. Those traveling through the area report backed-up traffic that is moving slowly through the section of highway between Kyburz and Riverton.
As of 1:30 p.m., chain controls were dropped over Echo Summit, but they are in place on SR88 and I80, US50 over Spooner Summit, SR28 in Nevada and SR207, Kingsbury Grade.
