The 2014 Quality Counts report that evaluates school systems in the United States gave Nevada schools a “D” on it’s “chance for success” index. California received a C-. The national average is C+. Both states dropped from their 2013 scores.

The report has 6 areas they evaluate on: Chance for Success, K-12 Achievement, Standards, Assessments & Accountability, The Teaching Profession, School Finance and Transitions & Alignment.
