SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Tax season is here, and free help is available in South Lake Tahoe to get taxes completed accurately and quickly. AARP Tax-Aide of South Lake Tahoe will once again be providing free tax preparation for California and Nevada taxpayers of all ages (NOT just seniors!). All tax preparers are certified, yearly, by the IRS.
Pick up an information packet, beginning 1/21/25, inside the front door of the SLT Recreation Center.
This free tax service will be offered at: (change from last year)
SLT Recreation Center, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.
Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (first come, first serve basis; NO APPOINTMENTS)
February 6 through April 14
Bring the following items with you to the Recreation Center for your tax preparation
meeting:
-Photo ID (for all adults)
-Social Security/ITIN cards for everyone listed on your tax return
-ALL 2024 tax-related documents (if you have electronic documents, you must
either provide a hard copy OR take a screenshot and have it available on your
phone.)
-2023 tax return
-Intake/Interview form (filled out) from the Information packet (optional)
