Anyone who travels on Nevada roads through the Sierra in winter knows the value of the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) highway information found on nvroads.com. Valuable information can also be found in warmer weather to alert drivers of delays on the roads. With more than three million visits to the system in 2025, NDOT reminds motorists to continue to use Nevada Travel Info for highway information in the new year.

In 2025, more than 3,036,248 website visits and 63,493 calls were made to Nevada Travel Info for up-to-the-minute highway conditions.

In the new year, NDOT reminds motorists to continue to use the system for safer, more-informed highway travel.

The Nevada Travel Info offers multiple options for up-to-the-minute state road conditions, online traffic cameras, roadway weather information, scheduled event road closures, highway construction updates and more:

  • Log on to nvroads.com
  • Dial 511 toll-free in Nevada
  • Or download the Nevada 511 app via the Apple or Google store. The app includes drive mode, which, for safety, limits use of app to audio alerts while driving.

Customize Traffic Alerts

This new year, NDOT also recommends that drivers sign up for free, customized e-mail or push notification alerts for their most frequently-traveled state routes, as well as set preferred map and traffic camera views.

Users can log onto nvroads.com and select “Sign Up” link to register for customized reports for state roads of choice.

NDOT first launched the Nevada Travel Info service in 2007. With Nevada law prohibiting use of handheld devices while behind the wheel, NDOT reminds motorists to dial or log on before driving.
