DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – The 82-year-old man involved in a single-car collision in Genoa on December 31 has died from the injuries he sustained.

On New Year’s Eve at approximately 6:49 p.m., troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) responded to a call of a serious injury crash at the intersection of Mill Street and SR-205 in Genoa. The driver was transported to a Reno hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The NHP’s preliminary investigation shows Martin Hubbard was driving his 2010 Lexus GX 450 in a northerly direction on SR-206. As he negotiated the right curve in front of the Trimmer Outpost, the car left the roadway and crashed into the east side of the business.

NHP said Hubbard was declared deceased at a local area hospital on January 20, 2020.
