SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The next meeting of the South Lake Tahoe City Council will be Tuesday, January 28 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting starts with two proclamations, one for National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and the other for National Stalking Awareness Month, along with a presentation by South Tahoe High student advisors. The advisors will present the planned format of a Community Academy intended to offer community members a behind-the-scenes look into city operations, the decision making process, and services.

On the agenda:

Discussion and possible action on an extension for the Lease to Locals program with Placemate with a possible six-month lease option for homeowners instead of the current one-year.

An update and possible action with a snow removal agreement with Heavenly Mountain Resort.

Council will also discuss the creation of a “Local Tenant Preference Policy” for affordable housing.
