Friday marked the return of the PAC 8 college hockey championship to the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena. Last year’s champion, the UCLA Bruins, return to defend their title.

Along with the Bruins, hitting the ice this weekend will also be Cal Berkeley, University of Washington, University of Oregon, UCLA and Arizona State.

In the early match up Friday, defending champs #4 UCLA Bruins lost to #5 ranked team, the USC Trojans. The score ended up at 4-3.

At 4:00 p.m., the #3 Washington Huskies and the #6 Oregon Ducks met on the ice with the Huskies winning 6-3.

On Saturday, the tournament’s 5th place winner will be decided at 10:00 a.m. when UCLA and Oregon meet on the ice.

At 1:00 p.m., the Cal Bears will play against USC, followed by a 4:00 p.m. match up on the ice between Arizona State and Washington.

Sunday, Feb 11:

Game 6: 3RD PLACE GAME (Loser Game 4 vs Loser Game 5) at 10:00 a.m.
Game 7: CHAMPIONSHIP GAME (Winner Game 4 vs Winner Game 5) at 1:00 p.m.

Tickets for each game are only $6 at the door. The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena is located at 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd.
