SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office (EDSO) responded to a home in the 3300 block of Panorama Drive in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday, February 22, at around 8:19 p.m. on the report of a burglary in progress.

The reporting party said a male adult had just broken a window at their residence and provided a description.

Upon arrival, EDSO deputies contacted a male adult who matched the description. He was identified as Bodin Schwartz, 24, of South Lake Tahoe.

During the investigation, deputies discovered a female adult in a neighboring residence’s driveway suffering from traumatic, life-threatening injuries.

The female adult was immediately provided emergency medical treatment and transported to a local area hospital. Her current status is unknown at this time.

Schwartz was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail for the following felony charges: Attempt Homicide 664/187(a) PC and Burglary 459(a) PC. Schwartz is being held without bail.

He was arraigned in El Dorado County Superior Court on February 25, and his next court appearance is scheduled for April 6.
