SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – EL Dorado County Senior Services are hosting a special presentation by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit and South Lake Tahoe Police Department on Monday, March 3 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center.
Learn what current scams are occuring in the local area, and learn how to protect yourself.
The Federal Trade Commission reports a record $10 billion was stolen in 2023, but since many scams are not reported this number is estimated to be much higher. Protect yourself and your loved ones from Love and Romance, Gift Card, Pig Butchering, Arrest Warrant/Law Enforcement, Check Fraud, and Crypto Currency scams.
Pre-registration is not required. Everyone is welcome to the free event.
This presentation is part of the South Lake Tahoe Aging and Caregiving Miniseries. They are held each Monday in March and see below for the other presentations. The Senior Center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
