SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office (EDSO) is looking into another case of vandalism at the Tesla chargers in the parking lot of Tube Tahoe in Meyers, near South Lake Tahoe.
On Wednesday, March 12, EDSO responded to the charging area after it was found that someone had used an epoxy on each of the eight chargers to block the current needed to charge vehicles. Due to the extent of damage and cost to repair, this is being considered felony vandalism.
Last week, on Wednesday, March 5, EDSO took a report on the same chargers that were vandalised when someone painted swastikas and the name of Elon Musk on the chargers.
