SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Dry weather with unseasonably warm temperatures will prevail early this week in the region with enhanced afternoon breezes Monday and Tuesday. The pattern will shift again to cooler and wetter conditions by midweek with valley rain and high elevation snow. There may be isolated and scattered thunderstorms Thursday and Friday.
The arrival of a low pressure system brings cooler and wetter conditions, with chances of precipitation by mid-afternoon Wednesday. Snow levels are high, over 9000`, so the main precipitation type will be rain, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
