INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District responded to a house fire on Tuesday evening on Wheel Road in Incline Village. While the fire department says they were able to contain the fire to a single room, the whole house sustained damage, forcing the occupants, a mother and daughter, to find another place to live.
The community started a GoFundMe fundraiser for the two displaced by the fire – Mt. Rose ski patrol supervisor Meredith “Meri” Broderic and her daughter, Molly, a Diamond Peak dispatcher.
“The fire has left Meri and Molly without a place to stay, and they are in urgent need of temporary housing. They also need to replace basic essentials like clothing, toiletries, and household items. The emotional toll of losing their home is immense, and your support can help ease some of the stress and uncertainty they are experiencing right now,” said the GoFundMe post.
