SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The CERT (Tahoe Community Emergency Response Team) is holding a free training program starting April 28 in South Lake Tahoe. You are the help until help arrives – learn how to be that bridge in case of emergencies.

Are you ready to learn lifesaving skills to help yourself, your family, your neighbors and your community during an emergency or disaster?
This hands-on training prepares you for real-life emergencies such as wildfires, earthquakes, and medical incidents at home. You’ll learn essential skills to stay calm, think clearly, and take quick, effective action before first responders arrive.
The course covers basic first aid, emergency response techniques, how to safely extinguish small fires, light search-and-rescue, and medical triage skills to help others in your neighborhood or community. You’ll also learn practical strategies to help keep yourself and those around you safe during critical emergency situations.
CERT Training Includes:
- 12-hour online CERT Hybrid course (must complete before in-person sessions)
- 14 hours Hands-on Training (must attend all 3 classes)
In-Person Schedule:
- April 28 – (Tues) 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- April 30th (Thurs) 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- May 2nd (Sat) 9 p.m. to 5 p.m.
