SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Registrations are now being accepted for new students to Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) for the 2025/26 school year in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Parents can pre-enroll online at https://laketahoe.asp.aeries.net/air. Then bring in the described paperwork to your zoned elementary school site to complete the registration process. Zone 1 is Sierra House, Zone 2 is Tahoe Valley, and Zone 3 is Meyers.

Kindergarten/TK enrollment information:
Kindergarten:
- To be eligible for K, your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025. (CA State Law).
- Kindergarten opportunities are available at all 4 elementary schools (Tahoe Valley, Sierra House, Meyers, and Bijou – Bijou is a Two-Way Bilingual Immersion program and admits students through a lottery process. Commitment forms were due by February 14, 2025.)
Transitional Kindergarten (TK):
- To be eligible for TK, your child must turn 4 years old by September 1st, 2025
- TK opportunities are available at the following sites:
- Tahoe Valley Elementary (Transportation Zones 1 & 2)
- Meyers Elementary (limited to 20 students in Zone 3 – wait list initiated, lottery process to follow)
- Bijou Community School (filled in February through a lottery process)
The following documents are required to be delivered to the school site to complete TK & K enrollment. Once the paperwork is received, an appointment will be made to bring your child in for an initial assessment. (You can pick up hard copies at any elementary school.)
- Child’s birth certificate. (CA Law)

- Health examination (please schedule with your family Physician). (CA Law)
- Oral health examination (dental examinations that have occurred in the last 12 months meet this requirement). (CA Law)
- Proof of California residency (lease agreement, mortgage statement, or utility statement)
The first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year is Monday, August 25, 2025.
