SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – One man was arrested Wednesday night, and another was allegedly stabbed after an altercation between two acquaintances at a South Lake Tahoe motel.

On April 15, at approximately 9:15 p.m. South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue, JPA paramedics, and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) responded to a motel on Cedar Avenue on the report of a stabbing.

One man was transported to the hospital with a reported non-life-threatening stab wound.

According to SLTPD Lt. Scott Crivelli, two men who were both living at the motel had met and were allegedly using methamphetamine when they got into a fight. One of the men allegedly took the other’s phone and held them down so they couldn’t leave, and stabbed him once in the process, according to Crivelli.

Ian Timothy Shea was arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail on charges of Threatening a Crime With Intent to Terrorize, 1st Degree Robbery – Home Invasion, False Imprisonment, and Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon. His bail is currently set at $530,000.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
