SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Heavenly Mountain Resort is going to reopen this weekend for some skiing and riding after receiving two feet of snow from the last storm.

On Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, Heavenly will open some upper terrain. Access will be from the Gondola only, with a free shuttle running from the California Base Lodge.

After closing early on April 5 due to warm weather and a lack of snow, Heavenly now has a second chance to cap off its 70th anniversary season with an unexpected encore.

Open will be the Upper California Trail → Tamarack Return, with limited terrain and classic spring conditions from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Gondola sightseeing and on-mountain activities remain open.

Kirkwood will be wrapping up the 2025-26 season on Sunday, April 19. Free shuttles are going to that resort as well.
