SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Camp Richardson Resort is installing automated parking gates on Jameson Beach Road to help facilitate day-use visitor parking this summer. Drivers will have a 15-minute grace period after entering the resort before payment is required. During the 2026 summer season, day parking is a $12 flat fee after 15 minutes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from May 23 to Sept. 7, 2026. Paid parking will be in effect weekends only for the remainder of September, and free midweek.
Visitors are encouraged to pay their parking fee by mobile phone app or at a kiosk on site before departure. Payment at the departure parking gate is also an option. Use of mobile or credit card payment is required to support a shift to cash-free operations.
“This system will offer a streamlined experience for guests by monitoring parking availability in real time,” said Travis Lauinger, general manager of Camp Richardson Resort.
