Damage was kept to a minimum after a quick response by firefighters from South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue on Monday afternoon at the Alder Inn on Ski Run Boulevard.

The fire started on the first floor where a plumber was working with a torch. It went into the second floor through plumbing chases.

“A quick and aggressive fire attack minimized damage to the structure,” SLTFR said on their Facebook page.

The call came in at 1:30 p.m. May 1.
