SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The 2026 Tahoe Economic Summit will be held on May 7 at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. It starts with registration at 8:30 a.m. and wraps up with a networking reception that ends at 4:45 p.m.

This is more than a one-day event—it’s a space where diverse voices from across the Basin come together to listen, share, and shape what comes next. From business owners and nonprofits to local agencies, educators, and students, the Summit is designed to foster real collaboration around the issues that impact our community and economy.

This year’s program brings together a dynamic mix of regional leaders and practitioners, including keynote speakers Dr. Fred Steinmann (University of Nevada, Reno) and Kate Gordon (California Forward), alongside voices from TRPA, the City of South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe Transportation District, Tahoe Earth Institute, Marcella Foundation, Lake Tahoe Community College, and local entrepreneurs like Happy Tiers Bakery and Cascade Kitchens. Together, they represent the cross-sector partnerships needed to move ideas into action.
