The ZCES Plant Co. is selling strawberry baskets, petunia baskets, and mixed herb baskets online, now through May 12! Pick up in person at our grow domes on May 12 from 3:15 p.m. to

As part of the ZCES gardening program, the 4th-grade class created a plant business,
The ZCES Plant Co. Over the past 16 weeks, the students have created a business plan, worked on their revenue/expenses and projected profit, presented and asked for a loan for their start-up fees from the ZCES Parents Club, created their own business name and logo, and even interviewed the plant vendor for the petunias. They have learned how to plant and grow bare root strawberry plants, petunias, and grow all the herbs from seed in hydroponic units before transplanting them into pots. It has been an incredible experience in gardening and entrepreneurship for these students!
Items available for purchase include 10” strawberry hanging baskets, 10” petunia
hanging baskets, and 10” hanging mixed herb pots.
Orders placed online can be picked up on Tuesday, May 12, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the ZCES Grow Domes.
