SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Expect to see a large amount of smoke along Pioneer Trail this week as 32 acres of understory are burned.
Starting Thursday. May 14, through Saturday, May 16, the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit will be on site with ignitions off Pioneer Trail (south side of road), between Hepka Dr. and Jicarilla Dr.
There are potentials for localized smoke impacts to the communities of Golden Bear, Meyers and South Lake Tahoe and smoke will be visible from most areas around the Lake Tahoe Basin.
