Nearly 1,200 cyclists, and probably a lot more, lined up Thursday in South Lake Tahoe in an attempt to break a Guinness Book of World Record of forming the longest single file line of bicycles. The South Lake Tahoe bicycle group Slow Rollers, which organized the event, reports it signed in 1,200 cyclists for the event and ran out of tickets to give out. Many more were believed to have joined in. A full tally of cyclists should be made available late Thursday. Check back here to find out the unofficial count.
