A defensible space workday has been scheduled for the South Christmas Valley. To kick off their Firewise season, there will be a neighborhood gathering with refreshments on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00-12:00 at the intersection of E River Park and Beaver Brae in the South Christmas Valley area. Please stop by to say hi, meet new neighbors, pick up information on home hardening and how to work with home insurers, and receive a worksheet to keep track of the hours and expenses you voluntarily spend on your property throughout the year.

Workdays are set aside for Firewise communities to record the work done at each home, and track items left for chipping, all done to become fire safe.
What they need: Record the number of hours works, the number of 95-gallon waste cans filled and tree rounds under six inches left curbsite for the chipping services.
