The Discovery Day Camp at Heavenly Mountain Resort opened today, giving kids ages 5 to 12 the opportunity to spend a day of exploration and adventure high above Lake Tahoe.
After the campers went up the mountain on the 2.4 mile long gondola ride they enjoyed a day of high ropes, challenge courses, team building hiking, relay games, conservation education, nature crafts, scavenger hunts and much more.
Discovery Day Camp 2015 runs seven days a week from June 19 to Aug. 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pass holders for the 2015-16 winter season will receive a discount on single days with proof of pass number.
