SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (BGCLT) is calling on community members, local businesses, and supporters to help send local youth out of summer with a bang. On Thursday, August 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., BGCLT will host its end-of-summer celebration: a day packed with bounce houses, giant slides, a delicious lunch, ice cream, live music, a photo booth, and much more.

There will also be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Tahoe Chamber at 9:30 a.m., where the community can come and celebrate the all-inclusive playground. All who attend must check in at the front desk tent on the left side of the Angel of Tahoe building.

“The BGCLT end-of-summer celebration has become an event that kids look forward to all year,” said Aimi Xistra, development director for the Club. “Our kids and staff enjoy an entire day of events, including a special magic show from Alex Ramon. We couldn’t host such a memorable party without the support of our Tahoe community, and for this we are grateful.”

For just $30, donors can sponsor one child to be part of the fun.

BGCLT is aiming to raise $10,000 to make this event possible for as many children as the community is willing to support. Every donation goes directly toward giving youth an extraordinary, joy-filled experience.

To sponsor a child and help BGCLT reach its $10,000 goal, donate today at bit.ly/2026-bgclt-summer.
