LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Step aboard the luxurious Rum Runner and back into history with compelling recollections from two iconic ladies of Emerald Bay. Rosalee “Rosie” Smith grew up in Lake Tahoe and spent her summers working at the Emerald Bay Resort before it became a campground. Sarah Robertson is the daughter of Dr. Helen Smith, who grew up as a guest of Vikingsholm Castle’s founder Lora Knight for 14 summers and pioneered the tour program at Vikingsholm Castle.
Hear the wild and unbelievable stories from two remarkable women whose lives and memories are deeply rooted in Tahoe’s storied past. Indulge in fancy hors d’oeuvres and libations, sponsored by the Rum Runner. The boat leaves the Round Hill Pines Beach Resort in Zephyr Cove on Thursday, August 20th at 5 pm sharp and returns by 7:30 pm. Tickets are $100 per person, and proceeds of the fundraiser support education programs and restoration projects at the California State Parks in the Lake Tahoe – Donner Lake.
