The Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA) is holding the valley’s first-ever “Joker’s Wild” Spoker Ride on Saturday, August 23. Welcome to all ages and abilities, the Spoker Ride is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy a bike ride with members of their community, win prizes and experience the beautiful scenery of Carson Valley from CVTA’s trails.

Beginning at James Lee Memorial Park in Indian Hills, mountain bikers will ride a 10-mile loop through the rolling hills of well-groomed CVTA trails while drawing poker cards from stations along the way. The top three winning poker hands, according to WSOP rules and with Jokers as wild cards, will win a prize package including cash, merchandise and gift certificates from local sponsors, valued collectively at over $1800!

In addition to the bike ride, there will be delicious food and drink provided by Bubbly’s Kitchen and Double Barrel Draft Wagon after the event.

Registration is $40 per rider and includes a one-year individual membership to CVTA and one poker hand. Additional poker hands can be purchased for $10 each for a higher chance of winning the prize package.

CVTA would like to thank our sponsors NVORA, Win’s Wheels, The Chop Shop Hair Garage, Big Daddy’s Bike and Brew, Above the Bar Tattoo, Battle Born Wine and Whiskey, True Bliss Skincare and Wellness, Truckee Flannel Company, and Bike Habitat for making this event possible.
