LAKE TAHOE, Nev. – Firefighter Conner Bradley, 31, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 lymphoma—a type of cancer that will require aggressive treatment in the months ahead.
Conner is a proud member of the Tahoe Douglas Fire family, joining the District Wildland Division in 2015. He currently resides in Minden, Nev., with his wife, Mollee, and their beloved pets—Snoop Dogg, their dog, and Kiki, their diabetic cat. Conner and Mollee have been together for 10 years and share a love of travel, the outdoors, and family.
In addition to his firefighting career, Conner is an accomplished athlete. He had been training for more than a year for a triathlon (Ironman) scheduled to take place in Santa Cruz, Calif., this September. Known for his grit and determination, Conner has been known to ride his bike to work up Kingsbury Grade—an endurance described as “savage.”
“Conner is a dedicated captain and loyal friend,” said Battalion Chief Mike Monaghan. “He is always striving to better himself, his friends, and the firefighters he leads. There has been no obstacle that Conner hasn’t overcome through strength and tenacity. I know he has the fight needed to overcome this ‘curveball’ life has thrown at him. Let’s get after it, Conner ‘Oaf’ Bradley!”
The journey ahead will include extensive tests, treatments, and the financial strain that comes with a long medical battle. While insurance will cover some costs, there are additional expenses that Conner and Mollee cannot face alone.
Th are asking for the community’s support. Any contribution—large or small—will help ease the burden and allow Conner and his family to focus on what matters most: his healing and recovery.
