SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Marcella Foundation has announced ReadingPals is back for the 2025-26 school year. Starting this October, the program returns to Tahoe Valley Elementary School, and they are looking for 30-40 volunteers to join them.
Volunteers are needed Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with a minimum of a one-hour commitment per week.
As a volunteer, you’ll be paired with the same student each week, fostering consistent and meaningful relationships through the joy of reading. Each week you’ll spend one hour with one student—and you’re always welcome to do more if you’d like.
No teaching experience is needed—we’ll provide the training and support. What matters most is your love of learning and commitment to sharing it with students.
Mandatory training in on October 2 at 10 a.m.
