INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office continues to actively investigate the intentional poisoning of trees at Burnt Cedar Beach and is releasing new information regarding a significant reward now being offered in connection with the case.
The Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID), together with members of the Incline Village community, has announced a combined $147,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the tree poisonings.
The reward includes $25,000 committed by IVGID and $122,000 committed by a group of private donors known as the Friends of Burnt Cedar Beach.
Detectives with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the case and are asking anyone who may have information, regardless of how insignificant it may seem, to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding the tree poisonings is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office directly at (775) 328-3001 and reference case number 26-4225. Information related to the investigation should not be submitted to IVGID staff.
