SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The first day of fall is on Tuesday, and South Lake Tahoe should be in the mid-70s, sunny and calm, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. Expect more dry weather in the week ahead, with daytime high temperatures climbing to the mid-to-upper 80s range in the western Nevada valleys and the lower to upper 70s range in Sierra communities. There will be a slight chance the eastern Sierra could see some precipitation by the end of the week, but the chance is low.
