SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Tahoe Arts Project (TAP) said they are excited to kick off its 40th season of bringing professional performing arts to the schools and community of South Lake Tahoe with Shake, Move and Groove: A Rhythm That’s Yours.
Presented September 21–25, Shake, Move and Groove is an interactive performance that explores the science and joy of rhythm through dance, music, movement and storytelling. Featuring South Tahoe graduates Rebecca Kushner and Sebastiani Romagnolo, along with Anna Eisley, students will discover how rhythm helps us communicate, connect, and express ourselves.
The stars of the show have been visiting local schools all week, presenting to more than 4,500 TK–12 students.

The community is invited to experience Shake, Move and Groove: A Rhythm That’s Yours at a free public performance on Friday, September 25, at the Lake Tahoe Community College Theater.

Celebrating 40 Years of Performing Arts
TAP’s 40th season is a special milestone. To celebrate four decades of bringing the performing arts to Tahoe, this season will feature performers who grew up in Tahoe, graduated from South Tahoe High School and went on to pursue careers in the performing arts.
The season brings TAP’s mission full circle—showing local students what is possible when they pursue their passion for the arts and inspiring the next generation of Tahoe students.
Since its founding in 1987, Tahoe Arts Project has provided cultural enrichment and diversity for the community through the performing arts and education, with particular focus on youth.
