ROUND HILL, Nev. – The fire stations of the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District (TDFPD) are lit up this week in honor of all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year.

This coming weekend is the 38th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend but TDFPD is making it a week-long event with the lights up at the stations each night.

119 firefighters make up the 2019 list of honorees.

“TDFPD is proud to participate and honor our fellow brothers and sisters who sacrificed all,” said TDFPD Fire Marshal Eric Guevin.
