TOPAZ LAKE, Calif. – A fire that started Saturday afternoon off US-395 near Topaz Lake is now 196 acres with zero percent containment, according to Watch Duty. The Slink Fire started at 3:57 p.m. south of the Monitor Pass/CA-89 junction in Mono County, Calif.
East Fork Fire in Douglas County, the BLM and nearby Mono County fire agencies all responded to the fire along with air attacks.
Evacuations were all lifted at 6:50 p.m. As of 9:50 p.m. Saturday, the fire is holding in the retardant lines.
According to Calfire, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
