What better place?

What better time?

What better people?

The Hangar.

Sunset through the trees.

A business that gives so much back to the South Lake Tahoe Community.

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” – Plato

Thank you, The Hangar, for bringing live music to a thoughtfully laid-out intimate setting, for your care and consideration for your surrounding neighborhoods, and for giving back to the people in the community that supports you. You have boosted the local economy and made a positive impact on locals and visitors by providing a safe, comfortable environment in which to enjoy a wide array of music, and you have supported many of our meaningful non-profits, such as Keep Tahoe Blue, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), The Smaine Fund, as well as local youth soccer and baseball teams, raising or donating over $100,000 since 2021.

What may not be known to everyone is the behind-the-scenes due diligence of checking the sound levels, creating relationships with your community and surrounding neighbors, gathering concerns and addressing them ahead of time, and giving complimentary concert tickets to people residing in the area. As you are conscientious of the sound being projected, you constantly measure the sound levels/decibel output during concerts by walking around inside and outside of The Hangar grounds and into the surrounding neighborhoods, checking to make sure you are not exceeding noise maximums, while also ensuring the music has ended by 10:00 pm.

If you’ve never been to an event at The Hangar, next summer make it a point – It’s an intimate setting with great vantage points from anywhere in the garden, a great selection of beer and other beverages, and food trucks on site. Music in the trees as the sun sets is pretty spectacular!

Thank you to the management and the staff at The Hangar for all of the good you have done and continue to do. “The superior man is modest in his speech, but exceeds in his actions.” -Confucius

Sincerely,
