SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The next free history talk of the Lake Tahoe Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 6 p.m. at the South Tahoe Association of Realtors building at James Ave., South Lake Tahoe.

The guest speaker will be Melissa Trader, docent for the Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery
guided historical tours. With the recent opening of the Osgood Toll House at the History Museum Complex, she hoped the museum knew where Osgood was buried, and that it was the Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery.

It was not.

After careful, detailed research, she discovered the toll keeper’s fascinating life story and his final fate, presented in a PowerPoint.

Receive a souvenir of the opening of the Osgood Toll House.

Consider becoming a board member, member, or a volunteer. Memberships are $20 a year for seniors, $25 for others, $40 for families and lifetime memberships at $125 for single $250 for families.

All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

This event is also the historical society’s biannual general membership meeting with the election of officers.
