TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe (HSTT) is going trick-or-treating for peanut butter. They use a lot of peanut butter at the shelter to make the pups more comfortable each evening and during check-ups or procedures. They are asking their amazing volunteers and supporters to help restock the shelves so they can continue providing this comfort.
HSTT is looking for regular, no-stir peanut butter like Jif or Skippy. If you’re able, please bring or send a jar (or two!) to the Truckee Shelter at 10961 Stevens Lane, Truckee, Calif.
One VERY important safety reminder: Please double-check the ingredients to make sure the peanut butter does NOT contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
Thank you for helping them keep the pups in the shelter happy, healthy, and well-stocked with yummy treats.
