John Friedrich has a unique mix of skills and experience that make him ideally suited to return to the South Lake Tahoe City Council and build on its achievements during his first successful term in 2020-2024:
- He genuinely enjoys working with people from all walks of life and knows that a true sense of community is based on maximizing everybody’s potential–both the lucky few who live here and the multitudes who only get to visit,
- He appreciates both the competence of technical staff dedicated to making City life work behind the scenes and the creativity of this community’s rich assortment of artists, performers, entrepreneurs and do-gooders, and knows how to combine their talents and enthusiasm to achieve durable progress, and
- He’s committed to the hard work and patience needed to tackle the long-term and thorny problems of affordable housing, climate change resilience and keeping the public safe.
John’s dedication to getting the job done has been repeatedly demonstrated throughout his career in the nonprofit, government and business worlds, and he knows how to leverage all three to make lasting change.
