SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Sunday was the coldest day of the week, but high pressure will be building back over the area for a warmer-than-average and sunny week. This will bring high temperatures up to the low 70s by midweek for valleys and mid to upper 60s for Sierra communities, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

Accompanying this warming trend will also be drier conditions. As such, the Climate Prediction Center hints at below normal precipitation heading into the first week of
November.

Snow clothing won’t be needed for Halloween this year at Lake Tahoe. The forecast high is 68 (10 degrees over last Halloween’s high), with the record set at 69 and an average of 56.8 degrees.
