With Election Day just around the corner, I would like to share my support for two local candidates who I believe are well qualified to serve our community: Michelle Davis for City Clerk and Veronica Morales for City Council.

For City Clerk, Michelle Davis should be an easy choice for voters to make. Michelle has served as Assistant City Clerk for the past three years, gaining the knowledge, experience, and understanding necessary to successfully step into the role of City Clerk. Through her work in City Hall, she has demonstrated professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to serving the public.

As a Volunteer Navigator and Board Member with Encompass Youth, the nonprofit I am involved with, I have also had the opportunity to watch Michelle become deeply engaged in the South Lake Tahoe community. She consistently shows up to support the young people we serve and local efforts, and looks for ways to make a positive difference. I am proud to support Michelle Davis for City Clerk.

The City Council race features many qualified and dedicated candidates, making it a difficult decision for voters choosing just three. Among those candidates, Veronica Morales is at the top of my list.  Veronica also serves as a Board Member and Volunteer Navigator for Encompass Youth.

Born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, Veronica brings both a lifelong connection to our community and a fresh perspective on its future. She is a strong advocate for residents whose voices are too often overlooked, including members of our Latino community and young adults working to build their futures here.

As a local business owner, mother, grandmother, and volunteer, Veronica understands the challenges facing South Lake Tahoe families. She cares deeply about public safety, housing affordability, economic opportunity, and creating a community where young people can thrive and choose to stay. Her commitment to service and her passion for this community make her an excellent choice for City Council.

I encourage voters to join me in supporting Veronica Morales for City Council and Michelle Davis for City Clerk.
