EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. – With 137,930 registered voters in El Dorado County, Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, could be a busy one. As of Friday morning, 44,146 ballots had been received by the county’s registrar of voters.
In the 2024 election, there was an 84.27 percent voter turnout in El Dorado County, with 75 percent of those being mailed-in ballots.
Some voters have reported not receiving a ballot and have called or visited the Elections Office or a vote center to obtain a replacement ballot. At this time, it is too late to request a replacement ballot by mail; however, voters who need a replacement ballot may visit any vote center or the Elections Office to receive one, according to Rena L. Russell, the El Dorado County assistant registrar of voters.
Voters have a few different options for casting their ballots. All mail-in ballots must be stamped at the post office no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day and received in the Registrar’s office no later than the Friday after Election Day.
The public is invited to observe the election process either in person or online. To watch the live feed from the Shingle Springs office, visit https://www.eldoradocounty.ca.gov/County-Government/Elections/Live-Election-Viewing.
People may also visit in person at the Elections Office, which is also open for public observation. They are located at 3883 Ponderosa Road, Shingle Springs.
Individuals wishing to observe activities at a vote center should check in with vote center staff and identify themselves as election observers. Additional information regarding election observation is available in our Election Observer Plan, available on the County website at https://www.eldoradocounty.ca.gov/files/assets/county/v/2/documents/government/elections/20261103/election-observer-plan-combined-package.pdf
Russell said her office has not been notified by the Department of Justice that its observers will be present on Election Day.
