SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The beautiful weather we had over the weekend at Lake Tahoe will continue another day before the weather becomes more unsettled this week as a series of low-pressure areas move through the northwestern
states, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. The first low is rather weak and quick-moving, but will provide breezy afternoon winds and minor cooling on Monday and Tuesday as it passes by. Winds aren`t expected to be unusually strong, but gusts of 25-35 mph may result in some bumpy flights and
choppy lake waters.
Stronger low-pressure pivots through the region on Wednesday, and will bring periods of strong winds, wetting rain, and high elevation snowfall. Due to the trajectory of the storm during the warmer part of the day, snow should stay in the upper elevations.
High pressure rebuilds across the western states, returning warm and
mostly dry weather for next weekend, says NWS Reno.
