DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. –  Carson Valley Health has announced the addition of Family Medicine Physician Ashley Anders, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, to the Primary Care Minden Village team.

Bringing a whole-person approach to primary care, Dr. Anders has experience ranging from rural Alaskan communities to urban Baltimore. She builds long-term relationships with individuals and families, caring for patients from newborns to older adults. With a background in Anthropology, Dr. Anders feels a strong connection with people and their well-being.

“I found there were a lot of communities that needed help, and one of the easiest ways to help communities is to make them healthier,” Dr. Anders said.

Dr. Anders’s practice serves patients at all life stages, with specialized experience in pediatrics, behavioral health (ADHD, autism, trauma), addiction medicine, and continued training in osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). Dr. Anders believes knowing a family’s history, circumstances, and values helps her make more realistic, individualized recommendations.

“I enjoy caring for kids, but I also really value the relationship I can build with the whole family,” she noted. “Sometimes helping a child means understanding what the family is going through and finding ways to make life a little easier for everyone.”

An outdoor enthusiast who has visited 28 national parks and plans to hike the Tahoe Rim Trail, she and her husband are excited to make Carson Valley their home. Dr. Anders looks forward to connecting with local families inside and outside the clinic.
