SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – So far, 64,849, or 47.02 percent, of El Dorado County’s registered voters have had their ballots counted in Tuesday’s election. The next release of tabulated ballots should be ready by 12:00 p.m. Thursday, but the County’s elections department has until 3 p.m. to release the next report.

There was a large number of ballots dropped off on Election Day in the drop boxes spread throughout the county. They were collected, but not counted on Tuesday. That count represented the ballots entered at the polling centers or were previously mailed in.

Ballots will be counted until the election’s department finishes the job. The tabulations will be released every Tuesday and Thursday until then. December 3, 2026, is the official cavass deadline. By this date, each county will certify its results.
