Dear Editor: I would like to congratulate Ericka Gonzalez, John Friedrich, and Gantt Miller on their election to the City Council and Michelle Davis on her election as City Clerk. The voters of our city have spoken, and I respect their decision.
I look forward to working with the newly elected councilmembers as we address the challenges and opportunities before us. Together, we can support our residents, strengthen our business community, protect our environment, and build a prosperous and sustainable local economy. Effective local government depends on collaboration, thoughtful discussion, and a shared commitment to serving the public, and I am confident we can work together to achieve those goals. We are fortunate to have a talented management team and dedicated employees to support us.
I also wish to thank Cody Bass, Scott Robbins, and Heather Horgan for their service to our community and wish retiring City Clerk Susan Carpenter happiness and success in the future. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to South Lake Tahoe are appreciated, and I wish them every success in their future endeavors.
Finally, I want to thank all those residents who ran for public office for their interest in our city’s success and our future.
Respectfully,
David Jinkens
