10:15AM UPDATE: At approximately 6:56 a.m. on Wednesday, the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on State Route 28 in Incline Village. There is one confirmed fatality.
The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 6:05 a.m., a vehicle was traveling northbound on State Route 28 when it struck a pedestrian. NHP has located the vehicle, and the driver is cooperating with investigators.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is asking anyone who may have information about this crash, may have witnessed this crash, or may have observed a pedestrian in the area of State Route 28 and Village Boulevard to please contact NHP at 775-687–9600 or email them at ncwmirt@dps.state.nv.us.
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) is at the scene of a fatal crash on SR28 in Incline Village near Village Drive. The highway is closed in both directions at this time from Village Drive to Northwood.
The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. and NHP says there is no estimated time for reopening at this time though it could be two to four hours.
There is a route around the crash. Travelers can use Lakeshore Blvd.
