SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Four local young ladies are continuing to help the South Lake Tahoe community with their fundraising efforts to help different needs on the South Shore.
For the 2018 Christmas season Maiella and Milan Riva, Lily Demus and Simone Sitchon will be collecting items and money to help both Lake Tahoe Humane Society and El Dorado County Animal Shelter.
Last year the four girls collected clothing and toys for local foster youth and in 2016 they collected gloves, hats, socks, coats, and thermals for the Tahoe Warm Room.
We are seeking dog and cat collars, leashes, dry and wet food, toys, kongs, food and water bowls, disposable cardboard food boats, treats among other like items.
They would also appreciate new or gently used backpacks to make dog and cat “kits” for pets “to go” or for the homeless with pets would be greatly appreciated.
All monetary donations would be gladly accepted by the Humane Society to repay local veterinarians that provide time and services to them. Checks could be made out to Alpine Veterinary or Sierra Veterinary. If you would like to donate a check please call (530)318-0995.
“Please help us help pets in need this year!” Maiella, Milan, Lily and Simone said.
Any of the above items can be dropped of in the tall boxes in the front offices of South Tahoe Middle School or South Tahoe High School, handed to any of the girls, or dropped in the labeled cans at four homes until December 19, 2018.
Please contact ann.zion@yahoo.com for a list of addresses. They can also be dropped at the law office at 2269 James Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.
“We are SO grateful and thankful to our community for your support in our fundraiser,” they added.
