
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Quiescent weather through Wednesday at Lake Tahoe promotes favorable pre-Thanksgiving travel before another system brings low-end chances for showers Thursday morning and cooler temperatures.
This system exits the region late Thanksgiving Day and will leave our region sandwiched between a downstream trough over the central-eastern US and an area of high pressure in the Gulf of Alaska, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. This will keep a dry pattern with temperatures steadily 5-10 degrees below average through the remainder of the holiday weekend

Monday – Sunny, with a high near 48. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
Monday Night – Mostly clear, with a low of around 20. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday – Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Tuesday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 22. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
